Building scale

The Ningsuan Big Data Center construction will be complete in three phases. The first phase covers an area of 116,278 square meters, including a comprehensive operation and maintenance building and four computer rooms building, with a total scale of 10,000 standard cabinets; the second phase will be put into operation at the end of 2021, and about 7,000 standard cabinets can be added. The third phase will be completed in 2025, and the total number of standard cabinets will eventually reach 70,000.

Design philosophy

The data center is based on the creative concept of “Layered and concise, to inherit Tibetan culturecharm, ” to combine with the base’s current situation and make full use of site conditions. We will plan and layout, complies with terrain, leaning hills, advocating nature to reflect Tibetan architecture’s unique cultural connotation and inside ideological information. The data center has the leading
architectural quality and can be modularized and split flexibly to meet the various needs of customers.

Green, energy-saving, & intelligent international data center

Air Conditioning System

Ningsuan data center uses the indirect evaporative cooling system and direct evaporative cooling system with full heat recovery technology to build a green and energy-saving data center with low power consumption, environmental protection,and energy efficiency

Power Supply System

In the Ningsuan data center, some computer rooms use a 240V HVDC power supply system to achieve high efficiency, energy-saving, high reliability, and convenient maintenance.

Surveillance System

Ningsuan data center uses a unified platform to manage critical infrastructure. And through data analysis and aggregation, maximize the operational efficiency of the data center and improve reliability.

Awards

Ningsuan Data Center uses Tibet’s unique climatic conditions, natural cold sources, green energy-saving and environmental protection technologies, and Lhasa’s photovoltaic resources to achieve domestic leading PUE value and TCO.

National Green Data Center

The first phase of the Ningsuan Big Data Center was approved as the 2020 National Green Data Center issued by six ministries including the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

First Prize of Data Center Scientific & Technological Achievements

The self-developed direct fresh air cooling technology has applied for 6 invention patents, and won the first prize of the 2020 CDCC National Data Center Scientific and Technological Achievement Award.
